Determined to make it in Music City, Gigi worked tirelessly to support herself, even launching Gigi’s Cleaning Company at just 15 years old, cleaning houses during the day while pursuing her music dreams at night in Nashville’s honky-tonks.
Her entrepreneurial spirit eventually led her in a new direction—into the kitchen—where she would create what became Gigi’s Cupcakes, one of the most successful cupcake franchises in the United States.
From humble beginnings to national recognition, Gigi’s story has been featured in major media outlets including Forbes, Business Insider, MSNBC, Fox Business, and the television show Undercover Boss.
Often called the “Queen of Sweet Success,” Gigi has become an inspiring voice for entrepreneurs, dreamers, and anyone seeking to reinvent their lives.
Her memoir, The Secret Ingredient, shares the inspiring story of her journey from cleaning houses to building a multimillion-dollar franchise, offering an honest look at the sacrifices, setbacks, and triumphs along the way. Sandra Lee is a seasoned radio and television professional, producer, and entrepreneur based in Nashville, with an accomplished career spanning broadcast sales, media management, and creative production.
Throughout her career, Sandra has worked with some of the region’s leading broadcast outlets, including WNAB-TV 58 and affiliates of FOX and CBS, as well as major radio groups such as Clear Channel Communications, Salem Media Group, and Midwest Communications. She has built a reputation as a strategic negotiator and media expert known for delivering results while cultivating long-term partnerships.
Sandra is also an accomplished television producer and director. She is the creator and producer of the television series Breakout: The Road to Stardom, along with several made-for-TV programs and video projects that highlight inspiring stories and emerging talent. Her work behind the camera blends creativity, strategy, and storytelling to produce compelling and impactful content.
A passionate advocate for leadership and entrepreneurship, Sandra serves as Executive Director of HOLA – Hispanic Organization of Leaders & Achievers, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering Latino business leaders across Middle Tennessee. She also contributes her leadership and media expertise to nonprofit organizations including JESUS in a Bar and La Misión Con Arte, supporting initiatives focused on faith, transformation, and cultural connection.
Originally coming to Nashville as part of a mother-daughter musical duo, Sandra is also a singer-songwriter and jingle writer, bringing her lifelong passion for music into the heart of Music City.
